Hammond Report December 22 2020 from Pandemic Quarantino Jon Hammond - Daily Music and Stories from the organist & accordionist , today I have really really sad news just came in this morning, at 10:05 Central Europe Time we lost Eugen Hahn long-time boss of in - very dear friend of mine and to so many musicians and Frankfurter locals + International visitors!! In loving memory of Eugen Hahn, Eugen gave me my first gigs when I moved to Frankfurt 30 years ago - sending my deepest condolences to Eugen's Wife , his Son Philipp Daughter in-law , Grandson Alexander Naran Hahn Ramirez, and all the jazzkeller Frankfurt Team and Regulars, , resident master musicians , , , who I've had the pleasure & honor of playing with many times there - Eugen kept a lot of musicians working and gave many young musicians their first break - keep his Spirit and keep supporting jazzkeller folks!! - this is a gig we did 30 years ago sponsored by Military Division - Joe Berger mixed it under the piano with all microphones. I'm playing the first Midi by (Hohner Morino IV accordion) of Hammond XB-2 - Herb Ellis was in the front row, he came by my invitation - many special nights we had with Eugen folks!
